05.10.11……Too many spreadsheets, not enough screen!

Bob posts:  This tip will help you view multiple spreadsheets at the same time without resizing each worksheet.

 Excel 2003:

    1. Click Window
    2. Click Arrange

  1. Click the option you would like to view the spreadsheets.  I suggest starting out select horizontal and experiment to your hearts desire.

 Excel 2007:

  1. Click View
  2. Click Arrange All
  3. Click the option you would like to view.  For starters let’s select horizontal.

A similar option in both 2003 and 2007 is called View side by side.  This allows you to view 2 spreadsheets side by side.  The only difference is that the side by side feature has the scrolling synchronized.  Depending on what you are doing this could be useful or annoying.  When you chose the side by side feature it will compare the current active spreadsheet and give you an option to choose which other active spreadsheet you would like to compare it to.  So be sure your active spreadsheet is one you want to compare.  Give it a try!  Let me know if you have any questions.
